Let’s face it, the challenges of working in STEM are vast.  Perhaps you need assistance navigating the Ph.D process, addressing the unique challenges of being a woman or a woman of color in STEM, or negotiating for pay raises.  If you want an idea of my coaching style and how/what I would be coaching feel free to check out some of my blog posts.  All coaching sessions are confidential, and information discussed about research is not shared or used by me in any manner outside of my work with the client. 

 
 

 Graduate School Coaching

This service involves follows up and helps with regular accountability by working with students, to give specific feedback on writing, recommend time-management strategies, and provides expertise in navigating the research process. The coach assesses individual needs of graduate students and guides data discussions with students to facilitate MS/Ph.D. completion long after the coaching is over. In sum, thesis/dissertation coaches focus on a holistic – not strictly academic – approach to finishing the degree. With a face-to-face virtual meeting space, they can discuss the student’s project on an individual basis in absolute confidence, and also serve as a sounding board for stress relief. They can offer both emotional and academic support to help students complete important tasks, as well as provide the tools they need to achieve their goals, which enable students to accomplish more with less effort.

This service is designed to work for the client(s) based on what they need and will be developed based on the discussion during the 15-minute consultation. For group coaching, everyone should be in the same or similar research field or discipline.

  • Designed for students navigating the Ph.D. or Master's process, 

  • Limit 5 people per session,

  • (1) 1-hour virtual session via Zoom (one-hour minimum required).

Individual Pricing: $25.00/session
Group Pricing: $75.00/session

 

Engineering Career Coaching

This service involves working with early-career engineers or graduating/recent graduates starting their careers in engineering.  Coaching includes preparing for job interviews, strategies for job searches, career planning discussions, negotiating for pay and benefits, professional development, and when/if to go back for additional degrees.  This coaching is not designed for engineers entering academia (i.e., tenure-track positions or adjunct positions) or research-focused positions (e.g., post-doctoral positions).  It is for engineers working in or interested in working in or with industry (either on the commercial or government side). 

Designed for the entry-level engineer who is just starting out in their career or nearing graduation and starting to do job searches and interviews.  

  • For Group coaching, everyone should be in the same or similar career field or discipline.

Individual Pricing: $50.00/session
Group Pricing: $100.00/session
